Kelly Senyei is multimedia food journalist, stylist, photographer and chef from San Diego who resides in New York City. She presently works as the Associate Editor of Gourmet Live and is the author of the forthcoming Food Blogging For Dummies, which will be published by Wiley Publishing in spring 2012.
Kelly graduated with Highest Honors from The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in 2010 and conceptualized and launched the school’s first ever official blog, DICED, which chronicles her experience as a Culinary Arts student at ICE. After graduating from culinary school she completed a 4-month externship cooking in the Food Network Kitchens. Kelly received her master’s degree in 2009 from The Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University and her undergraduate degree in communication and business from Northwestern University in 2008.
In addition to founding and working as the managing editor of DICED, Kelly has written for FoodNetwork.com, Food2.com, Living.com and Glamour.com. She currently manages the Gourmet Live blog and writes feature-length stories for the Gourmet Live app. Her original recipes and photographs have appeared online and on-air at NBC affiliate KOBI5 in Oregon and northern California. In 2010, Kelly received the International Association of Culinary Professional’s People’s Choice Award for Food Photography for her photograph, Back to Basics: A Modern Take on Classic Breads.
This site displays a collection of Kelly’s work as a multi-media journalist in the form of online, print, radio and television reporting. Kelly’s passion for food and lifestyle reporting led her to create Just a Taste, her multi-media culinary blog that features recipes, food demos, and the latest updates in culinary news and trends.
